Microblading training in Montreal: what you will learn

Our microblading and microshading training in Montreal teaches the two main semi-permanent brow techniques: microblading, which uses fine strokes to mimic natural hairs, and microshading, which creates a soft powder effect with a stippling technique. Both are adapted to darker skin tones and very sparse brows.

Take the training over 1 day ($1,000) or 4 days ($2,000), plus taxes. No drawing skills are needed: you work with templates and proportion guides, step by step with the instructor. You also learn client comfort protocols, healing and the aftercare advice to give clients. Materials are provided and you receive a certificate issued by BF Beauty Training Academy.

In Quebec, no provincial permit is required for microblading: hygiene is governed by public health guidelines (sterile single-use equipment, sterilization), which are taught from the first module of the course. How the microblading training works

  • Two options: 1 day ($1,000) to get started, or 4 days ($2,000) for the full 5-module program, plus taxes.
  • 70% hands-on practice, guided by the instructor throughout the course.
  • Schedule: weekday, evening and weekend groups. Training is available in French or English.
  • Start dates: the first Monday of every month. Next sessions: December 7, 2026, January 4, 2027, February 1, 2027.
  • Included: all materials provided on site during the training and the BF Beauty certificate at the end. Options (price on request): learning kit to practise at home, post-training support (social media to launch your business, client management, advice and assistance for your start).
  • Booking: a $500 deposit reserves your spot; the balance can be paid in installments.
  • Location: 350 Rue de Louvain Ouest, Montreal.

What is the difference between microblading and microshading? +

Microblading uses fine incisions to mimic individual hairs (natural look). Microshading uses a stippling technique for a powdery effect. The training covers both.

Is the technique painful for clients? +

A topical anesthetic is applied before the session. Most clients describe a light scratching sensation. You'll learn client comfort protocols during training.

Do I need drawing or art skills? +

None required. You'll use templates and golden ratio guidelines. The instructor walks you through creating arches tailored to each face shape.

How long does microblading last? +

Well-executed microblading lasts 12 to 18 months before a touch-up. Training includes healing and aftercare instructions to pass on to your clients.

Is a special permit required to practice in Québec? +

You receive a certificate issued by BF Beauty Training Academy. In Quebec, no provincial permit is required for microblading: public health hygiene rules (sterile single-use equipment, sterilization) are taught during the course. For a studio or a home-based space, check your municipality's rules.
