Refund Policy

BF Beauty Training Academy is committed to applying a clear, fair, and transparent cancellation and refund policy. This policy outlines the conditions under which a participant may cancel their enrollment and obtain a refund.

1. Booking Fee and 48-Hour Cancellation

To reserve a spot, a booking fee (deposit) of $500 is required for all programs and combo certificates (amount before tax). It is deducted from the total price of the training and covers administrative costs, material reservation and the student’s reserved spot.

• Cancellation within 48 hours of booking: all amounts paid, including the booking fee, are refunded in full (except for a booking made less than 48 hours before the training starts, see below).
• After this 48-hour period: the booking fee is non-refundable, except if BF Beauty Training Academy cancels the session (see section 4).
• Booking made less than 48 hours before the training starts: the booking fee is non-refundable from the time of booking.
• A booking whose Interac e-Transfer is not received within 48 hours is cancelled automatically, at no cost.

The 48-hour period also applies to bookings made by phone or in person: it starts when the booking is confirmed.

2. Cancellation by the Student — After the 48-Hour Period and Before Training Begins

• More than 30 days before the start date: full refund of the amounts paid in addition to the booking fee (the booking fee is retained).
• Between 15 and 30 days before the start date: 50% refund of the amounts paid in addition to the booking fee.
• Less than 15 days before the start date: no refund, but the student may transfer their spot to the next session (subject to availability), once only.

3. Cancellation by the Student — After Training Has Begun

Once training has started, no refund is issued for hours already delivered. For remaining hours, a pro-rata refund may be considered at the discretion of management in cases of serious and duly justified reasons (illness supported by a medical certificate, relocation, force majeure).

4. Cancellation by BF Beauty Training Academy

If the school must cancel or postpone a session (minimum enrollment not met, instructor unavailability, force majeure), the student receives, at their choice: a full refund including the booking fee, or a free transfer to another session.

5. Refund Process

Refunds are processed within 30 days of the request, by Interac e-Transfer. A confirmation email is sent to the student upon completion of the refund.

6. Refund Request

All cancellation or refund requests must be made in writing, by email to [email protected] or by WhatsApp message to 438 596-4757, including: full name, program, session date, reason, and order number. The date and time the message is received determine whether the 48-hour period is met. A response will be provided within a maximum of 7 business days.

7. Special Cases

• Learning kit (paid option) — non-refundable once handed to the student.
• Online training / replays — non-refundable after content has been accessed.

8. Recourse

In case of dispute, the student may submit a written complaint to management. If no amicable resolution is reached, the Office de la protection du consommateur du Québec may be contacted. This policy does not limit the rights granted to the student by the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.
