Nail technician course in Montreal: what you will learn

Nail technician course in Montreal: what you will learn

Thinking about a nail technician course in Montreal? A complete program should take you from natural nail care and hygiene all the way to gel, acrylic and nail art, with plenty of practice on real clients. Here is what a professional nail tech course covers, how the training days are organised, and what you can expect to be able to do at the end.

What a professional nail technician course covers

Our nail tech program is built around five modules. Together they cover everything you need to offer safe, long-lasting nail services.

1. Nail anatomy and hygiene

  • the structure of the nail and common nail conditions you need to recognise;
  • disinfection protocols for tools and surfaces;
  • professional equipment and how to set up your workstation;
  • health and safety rules for working with gels, liquids and dust.

2. Manicure and pedicure basics

  • natural nail care: pushing back cuticles, shaping, filing and buffing;
  • the perfect French manicure;
  • regular and semi-permanent polish;
  • spa care for hands and feet.

3. Gel and acrylic

  • a complete UV/LED gel application;
  • fills and maintenance;
  • acrylic on tips;
  • repairs and safe removal;
  • colour and two-tone gel.

Learning both gel and acrylic matters: many clients ask for acrylic for its strength, while gel is often easier for beginners because it only cures under the lamp, giving you time to place the product.

4. Advanced nail art

  • ombré and watercolour effects;
  • stamping and foils;
  • 3D art: flowers, jewels and textures;
  • chrome, marble and holographic finishes;
  • themed and event designs.

5. Business skills

  • client records;
  • pricing and packages;
  • photographing your work;
  • social media and launching your business.

What you will be able to do at the end
